NNOL Update 9th June 2020

NNOL Update 9th June 2020

Further to last weeks update, we now have some areas we are seeking NNOL members support in contributing to and then sharing. We do not want to re-invent the work which already exists, but to signpost to work, resources and opportunities that a NNOL member can offer.

A reminder, that our overall aim is to ensure that outdoor learning and play is really well supported in Scottish schools as they return in August. Through this we hope to further embed outdoor learning, benefitting all on the NNOL network and the children we work with.

We have further communication with Scottish Government Education Recovery Group and Education Scotland over this next week.

Please can you read and respond to the following opportunities.

The opportunities:

1. In order to ensure that the Network Membership page is kept up to date and current can I please ask that you email two or three sentences about your organisation and a link to your web page. This will be hosted here - https://nnolscotland.blogspot.com/p/the-national-network-for-outdoor.html

2. Add in any outdoor learning resources, particularly lessons and ideas which schools can take on themselves and deliver in school grounds and local community space. You will see there is a simple spreadsheet with information to add.
We aim to share this on the National Improvement Hub and new Education Scotland STEM Wakelet.  We also hope that all NNOL members can share, post online or email to their customers and contacts, as they see fit.
Anything you add will remain yours and credited to you - a good way of promoting your work.
Please fill in the form at our Google Drive.

3. Let us know about any training or new resources which you would like teachers or early years educators to avail themselves of. We have been asked to approach members about leading webinars in partnership with Education Scotland on specific issues or topics - if you can help, please let us know. You can send in links to webinars, ideas for webinars and event links to NNOLScotland@gmail.com

4. As NNOL we are planning a larger online discussion with members. Please can you indicate a good time to hold this meeting - likely via Google Hangouts. Fill in the form here
